Acting Governor Invites Communities to Build Papua Mountains

Acting (Pj) Governor of Papua Mountains Nikolaus Kondomo invited the community together with the governments of the eight districts in the new province to build the Papua Mountains Province to be prosperous.
 
Upon arrival in Wamena, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, Nikolaus said many intellectual figures came from the Highlands Province of Papua, so it would be very helpful if they united with the government to realize people's welfare.
 
"I am here to build together with indigenous peoples, youth, religious leaders, women, community leaders with the existing government to build our society towards prosperity. We will shape this province better than others," said Nikolaus.
 
He rejects the views of some people who say that the people of the Papuan Highlands do not like kindness. According to Nikolaus, the people of the Papuan Highlands are citizens who are open to accepting anyone.
 
"God told me to come here together to see our brothers and sisters here, hand in hand. Let's build smart people, people who obey God, people who are properly educated in the Province of Papua Mountains," he added.
 
On that occasion, Nikolaus also introduced the Acting Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the Province of Papua, the Sumule Tumbo Mountains.
 
"He is ready from afar to build communities in the Papua Mountains Province, ready to serve the community," he said.
 
Nikolaus arrived in Jayawijaya, the capital city of the Papua Mountains province, greeted by eight regents and around 10,000 people. The reception is carried out in the form of a joint prayer and a ritual of burning stones to eat together.
 
Preparations for the governor's pick-up have been carried out for more than two months at a cost of IDR 4 billion. The funds were donations from eight regents, each of whom provided Rp. 500 million.
