Acting Governor Ribka Haluk: The Purpose of Expansion is to Accelerate Welfare Improvement

The Acting Governor of Central Papua, Ribka Haluk, stated that the purpose of the expansion was to accelerate the increase in welfare for the people in Papua.

This was conveyed by Rebekah at the thanksgiving event for the formation of the Province of Central Papua, in Nabire, Friday (18/11/2022).

Arriving in Nabire, Rebekah was greeted by all components of society, including regional heads at the district/city level, such as the Regent of Nabire, Mesak Magai, and Acting Regent of Mimika, Johannes Rettob.
 
On her first day on duty, Rebekah was greeted with a thanksgiving event with the people of Central Papua, in Nabire.

This event is a form of gratitude for the establishment of Central Papua Province, as well as welcoming Rebekah Haluk as Acting Governor of Central Papua.

"Thank you very much for such an extraordinary welcome. Praise be to God for His abundant blessings and protection, we can all gather at this place in good health," said Rebekah in her remarks.

"I am happy to be able to gather with all of you at this historic moment for thanksgiving for the formation of Central Papua Province."

"May God Almighty always bless us all in dedicating ourselves to the nation and state, specifically to the people of Central Papua Province."
 
On the same occasion, Ribka thanked the leaders or initiators of the division and all parties who have played an active role in encouraging regional expansion in Papua, so that the Province of Central Papua could be formed.
 
"We all know that the purpose of expansion is to accelerate the increase in welfare for the people in Papua," he explained.
 
Ribka hopes that in the future, the people of Papua can be independent and competitive.

"Thus, I would like to advise that the Special Autonomy Policy has provided broad affirmations for Indigenous Papuans (OAP), so let's work hand in hand and support each other to realize our shared dream for a progressive and prosperous Papua in the future," he concluded. .
