Jayapura Police collaborate with Komnas HAM to reveal the death of Filep Karma



Jayapura City Police Chief Kombes Victor Mackbon said his party was cooperating with the Papuan Human Rights Commission to investigate the cause of the death of Filep Karma (62).

Filep Karma was found dead, Tuesday (1/11) morning, at around 05.00 WIT, at Base G Beach, North Jayapura District, Jayapura City.
 
"We are partnering with the Papuan Human Rights Commission to make it more transparent," said Jayapura City Police Chief Kombes Pol Victor Mackbon, in Jayapura, Tuesday.
 
He admitted that the police were still investigating the case, considering that the victim was found dead at around 05.00 WIT.
 
At that time, residents wanted to dive to catch fish, then found the victim was lying with a swollen body condition on the shoreline.
 
From the results of the identification of the victim, it is known that Filep Karma (62), a resident of Dok V, North Jayapura District, Jayapura City, and the body has now been taken to the funeral home in the Upper Dock V area.
 
"The team of doctors at Bhayangkara Hospital have done an external post-mortem, but there were no signs of violence," said Kombes Mackbon.
 
The police chief stated that the family refused to conduct an autopsy on the victim's body, which was confirmed in the autopsy refusal statement.
 
The autopsy refusal statement was made, in order to anticipate unwanted things in the future.
 
From the statement of the family, it was revealed that the last communication with the victim was on Thursday (27/10).
 
"The family revealed that the victim left the house with the aim of diving to catch fish," said Kombes Mackbon.
