Pemkab Biak Numfor prioritizes MSME products to enter the 2023 local e-catalog

The government of Biak Numfor Regency, Papua has prioritized including the products of local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in local electronic-catalog data in 2023.

"We continue to invite local businesses to enter local product types into the electronic-catalog service to be able to take part in the 2023 tender," said Head of the Goods/Services Procurement Section of the Biak Regency Government, Numfor Darma Setiawan, in Biak, Sunday.

He said, for the time being, the two products of local businesses, namely office stationery and catering food, could be prioritized to be included in the Biak local e-catalog 2023.

Darma mentioned, for the requirements for business products for MSME actors whose products can be included in local e-catalogs, they must have an NIB, KTP and family card.

Darma admitted, the electronic procurement of government goods/services is regulated in Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Presidential Regulation Number 16 of 2018 concerning Government Procurement of Goods/Services.

As stipulated in Article 50 Paragraph (5), according to Darma, that the implementation of e-Purchasing must be carried out for goods/services that concern national and/or strategic needs determined by ministers, heads of institutions, or heads of regions.

Darma admitted, in an effort to follow up on the 2021 Presidential Instruction, the Biak Numfor Regency Government has prepared business actors to enter the Local Electronic Catalog which regulates the implementation of goods and services procurement within the scope of the Biak Numfor Regency Government.

Mentioning the implementation of the 2023 project tender, according to Darma, until now preparations are underway for bidding for goods/services work within the scope of the Biak Numfor Regency Government.

"For the implementation of the tender, it can be done starting in December 2022, yes, this can be done in stages," said the Head of the Goods/Services Procurement Division of the Biak Darma Regency Government.

Darma said, with Biak's MSME products included in the local e-catalog, the government will have a lot of convenience so that it has the opportunity to become a user of domestic goods products.
