The Regent of Biak Numfor asked the Papua Provincial Government to increase the allocation of infrastructure funds

The Regent of Biak Numfor, Papua Herry Ario Naap asked the Provincial Government of Papua to increase the allocation of special autonomy infrastructure funds in 2023 to answer the basic needs of indigenous Papuans.

"In 2022 the distribution of infrastructure funds for Biak Numfor will be very small, around Rp. 1.5 billion, yes, next year, in 2023, we ask that the amount be greater," said Biak Numfor Regent Herry Ario Naap after the 77th public housing public works day in Biak, Saturday.

Herry Ario Naap reminded that the financing needs for the development of basic community infrastructure for roads, bridges, clean water, electricity and so on is very large, especially if you want to reach remote villages.

"I ask the attention of the Papua Provincial Government to increase the distribution of the infrastructure special autonomy funds to answer the needs of indigenous Papuans," he said.

The Biak Regent stated that commemoration of the 77th PUPR Service Day was a momentum for the entire PUPR Ministry extended family to continue to increase values and enthusiasm to maintain cohesiveness, discipline, militancy, dedication and sportsmanship in work as shown in the National Defense Training.

Through cohesiveness and teamwork, according to him, various groups can break through various obstacles to be able to complete tasks and continue to serve the community with infrastructure that is built and maintained together.

"One thing I feel from the various efforts of PUPR people is that the public has increased trust in all of us," said Herry Naap.

He said the effort to build trust was not born from a moment's effort, but was the fruit of hard work and continuous improvement efforts.

"I want this effort to become institutionalized, to become the breath and spirit of every PUPR person wherever they are to always build good quality, high aesthetic and environmentally friendly infrastructure for sustainability," he said.
